We are seeking an individual with experience working in a fast pace food service environment. Kitchen Staff satisfy guests by correctly preparing menu items to our high standards of professional cooking. Kitchen Staff meets the company standards of quality, safety, sanitation, service, cleanliness, and hospitality in providing guests with the most satisfactory food possible. The individual will need prior knowledge and experience working as a kitchen prep cook. Must be able to read and accurately follow a recipe book and prepare large batch menu items.
Responsibility and Skills should include:
Possess culinary knife skills which include safely using knives; sharpening and honing the edges of knives; and using them to chop, dice, julienne, mince, trim
Ability to work with commercial kitchen equipment such as blenders, robot coupes, buffalo choppers, imersion blenders, handle and operate hot equipment in safe manner, etc.
Maintains a clean and organized workspace
Work at a pace consistent with changing business volume and demands
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
Must be able to balance high volume and high quality
Must be dedicated to excellence and hospitality
Great communication and people skills
Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
Carry a can-do positive attitude
Maintains regular and punctual attendance
Culinary Arts Training and Serve Safe is a plus.
